Is your IT help desk ready for Scattered Spider’s call?

UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has urgently released a set of recommendations for retailers and other UK businesses following Scattered Spider’s attacks on Marks and Spencer, Coop and Harrods:

“Review helpdesk password reset processes, including how the helpdesk authenticates staff members credentials before resetting passwords, especially those with escalated privileges”

Why? Scattered Spider are reported to have used social engineering techniques to attack UK retailers. This does not come as a surprise as they used the same technique to target the MGM – a story publicised by itSMF UK last November.

Trusona’s ATO Protect suite was built to prevent social engineering of both the IT Help Desk and the employee. Using Gen AI deepfake resistant methods to verify the caller, it can be rapidly deployed for immediate protection.

Quickly find out if your IT Help Desk is prepared for a call from Scattered Spider.

Don’t hesitate, join our upcoming webinar to see ATO Protect in action to get more detail about how Trusona can empower your IT Helpdesk team.
