Participants must be 18 years or older and legally reside in a jurisdiction where this type of contest is permitted. Void where prohibited by law.
The Hack the Box Contest (“Contest”) is a cybersecurity challenge hosted by Trusona. You should watch the podcast video on IDAC to understand what the contest entails.
Participants will compete to masquerade themselves as Trusona’s CEO as if they are calling an IT helpdesk agent to reset their password.
Competition is open through August 31st, 2025. To win, you need to produce a screenshot with the Transaction ID, located in the URL in the browser address bar. Submissions of other vulnerabilities are not considered or accepted.

Participants agree to:
Only interact with systems designated as part of the Contest. (ATO Protect Demo @ try.trusona.com)
Avoid any real-world attacks (e.g., DDoS, phishing, or attacks on production systems).
Not disrupt or interfere with other participants.
Any attempt to submit an illegitimate or altered image of success will immediately disqualify the participant from the Contest.
Grand Prize: $10,000 USD
Bonus Prize: One (1) Slide Whistle of nominal value with your name on it
Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes.
No substitutions or transfers of prizes permitted, except at the discretion of Trusona.
Prizes are awarded “as-is” with no warranty or guarantee.
The Slide Whistle has no cash value and is awarded as a novelty item.
Only one (1) prize of $10,000 USD will be given to the first person who can prove they completed all requirements of hacking the box.
Submissions must be made through official channels during the Contest window.
Trusona reserves the right to verify eligibility, audit submissions, and disqualify entries suspected of rule violations or unfair practices.
All decisions made by the judging panel are final.
By accepting a prize, winners consent to the use of their name, likeness, and/or handle for promotional purposes by Trusona without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Trusona is not liable for:
Loss, theft, or misuse of data or devices
Any damages arising from participation
Disruptions to the Contest due to technical issues, unauthorized access, or force majeure
Personal information collected will be used solely for administration of the Contest and prize fulfillment. Information will not be sold or shared with third parties except as required by law.
Trusona may cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest in whole or in part if fraud, technical issues, or other causes corrupt the integrity of the Contest.
These terms are governed by the laws of Arizona. All legal claims or disputes will be resolved in the courts of Arizona.
