Trusona aims to expand the reach of its online identity product.
The startup aims to eliminate passwords, whether for doctors accessing sensitive information about patients or customers logging into a bank.
Existing investor Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers also participated in the funding.
As many companies try to eliminate passwords online, Mr. Schlein said Trusona has a real chance at winning over the consumer market.
